Voices of culture structured dialogue, AMSTERDAM, Barcelona, brussels, 18TH June 2015- 18th march 2016
The European Commission created Voices of Culture, Structured Dialogue, to maintain a regular dialogue with civil society. During this process, stakeholders across Europe provided key ideas and messages that were also be shared with the relevant OMC (Open Method of Coordination) experts. This dialogue with the cultural sector provided a framework for exchanging views and information, and ensured that the voice of civil society organisations was heard when developing policy.
In June 2015 our associate digital curator Dominic Smith took part in the discussion around audience development via digital means and co-edited the brainstorming report, which he presented back to the commission. `Click here for more details of the discussions.
In March 2016 our Director Clymene Christoforou took part in the discussion about intercultural dialogue and bringing communities together through shared public spaces and co-edited and presented the report, which you can find here.
These dialogues aim to strengthen the advocacy capacity of the cultural sector in policy debates on culture at a European level and encourage collaborative ways of working.
