ros rigby joins our board
We are delighted to welcome Ros Rigby, OBE, as our new Chair of the board of directors. Ros has many years of experience across the cultural sector both at home and abroad, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board and team.

Folkworks, with Northern Sinfonia, was a founding partner of the music venue Sage Gateshead, where in 2001 Ros was appointed Performance Programme Director. She stepped down from this full time role in July 2016, and since then has undertaken freelance work and board memberships.
Ros joined the Board of the North-East Culture Partnershipat its formation in 2013 going on to chair the Steering Group for the development of the Case for Culturefor the North East of England, formally launched in July 2015. She was re-elected to the NECP Board in 2017.
Ros was elected to the Board of Europe Jazz Network in 2011, a EU funded network of 140 festivals, clubs and national organisations working across 35 countries in Europe. She was elected as President in 2014 and re-elected for a second term in 2016. She joined the Board of the Jazz Promotion Network (for the UK and Ireland) in June 2018.

Ros takes over from Stella Hall whose energy and ambition has guided us throughout her mandate, and to whom we express our heartfelt thanks.
