Platforma Festival 2017

We are busy making preparations for Platforma Festival 2017, where we will present two new productions as part of our Common Groundprogramme.

Henna Asikainen will present Forage, an immersive installation of foraged material gathered during a series of foraging walks shared with migrant and refugee communities in the West End of Newcastle. Henna developed Forage during her ISIS Arts Research Residency in March this year.

Juan delGado will present a new curated film programme in the Big M, our inflatable exhibition space, curated around his work Altered Landscapes. We will also present a programme of work by the same artists at Vane, marking the launch of Platforma Festival's Newcastle programme.

We are also supporting French artist Katia Kameli to undertake her residency with the ACE Trust in the ISIS Arts Studio. Katia is creating a new work called Ritournelle for St John the baptist Church in Newcastle, which will be presented as part of the Platforma Festival programme.
