Jorn Ebner, Internetscapes, series of Electronic Drawing

Jorn Ebner

Jorn has been producing work for exhibition, festivals and commissions for over twenty years. His work includes the use of digital technologies, public and social environments, sound and drawing. We recently commissioned Jorn to create Burkuria dhe - for Mural, for which Jorn revived an essay piece he had been working on that he began in Tirana, Albania. It explores emigration of Albanians in a way that is emblematic of the wider refugee situation and how it is presented.

Jorn also joined D6 for a 3-week research residency in January 2008, where he developed an audio project for browser called: (the tender indifference), a series of audio works based on field recordings from the artist's flat in Newcastle upon Tyne, 2007 and 2008. The recordings have been screened for their musicality and condensed into short musical works. Listen and view (the tender indifference) here.

In relation to this work, he wrote a text for The Thing Hamburg in 2007, entitled "Zaungastieren".
