David Wightman
David Wightman completed a six-month fellowship with ISIS Arts and Berwick Gymnasium Gallery in 2010/11, during which he developed a new body of work titled Homage to Loreleia.
The Berwick Gymnasium Fellowship programme ran between 1993-2012 and was awarded annually to selected professional artists who demonstrated an ongoing commitment to developing their practice. Artists were selected to live and work in Berwick from October to April: this period of reflective time was intended to give artists an opportunity to produce a new body of work in response to this extraordinary border location.
