Ethics Advisory Group call
We are excited to announce an opportunity for academics and professional cultural practitioners to join the CONTESTED DESIRES: Constructive Dialogues (CDCD) Ethics Advisory Group.
Supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, CDCD is a three-year arts and heritage programme that engages contemporary artists in exploring the complex legacy of European colonialism and its impact on our cultural identities.

Duration: June 2024 – December 2026
Fee: €4500
Application deadline: 28 June 2024 (11:59 CET)
As part of the Ethics Advisory Group, you will:
- Participate in six working group meetings (online and in-person).
- Attend capacity-building workshops and the final CDCD conference.
- Develop an ethical framework to support artistic research and audience engagement.
We seek professionals from the cultural field, including academics and visual artists, with expertise in:
- Socially engaged arts, heritage, and culture.
- Colonial and decolonial heritage.
- Identity constructs (nationalities, ethnicities, gender, race).
- Environmental and climate justice.
- Anti-racism.
Schedule:
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to ethical practices, international collaboration, and capacity building. Experience in developing ethical frameworks and proficiency in English are essential.

- September 2026: Final residency and festival in Cyprus.
