brexit watch
On Tuesday 6th of February D6 was invited to give evidence to the British Council All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Inquiry on the impact of Brexit.
We presented our concerns for the UK's continued engagement in European programmes such as Creative Europe and Erasmus, and for the impact on freedom of movement (FOM) for artists and arts professionals. The Government's position is that the current FOM unfairly favours EU citizens, and that we should apply a level playing field for all - whilst this seemed a good ambition, we expressed our concern that bringing artists from outside the EU was already not easy and that this would result in it being harder for all.
Evidence on the impact for you or your projects may be submitted to the APPG here.
