Welcoming Rita in Residence

We are looking forward to this September, when we will be welcoming Hélène Billy from the artist collective Rita, who will be joining us for a research residency here in Newcastle.

Based in Paris, Rita is a cultural organisation that has a wide-ranging investigative practice spanning sociology, ethnomusicology and visual arts. Through artistic projects and documentary approaches, Rita respond to pressing social and ecological issues.

Hélène will be staying with D6 over the course of 4 days to make a comparative case study, observing our process of engagement with communities and cross-boarder working. She will be investigating how as an organisation we navigate our shared interest in international collaboration at a local level to build connections, and how we work with artists to develop our projects. We look forward to sharing with new friends our knowledge and experience built over 27 years of working.
