Milos Tomic (RS)

Miloš Tomić is a multimedia artist whose projects span film, photography, collages and sculpture.

Milos uses disposable or disposed objects. His object-based works are modified quotidian objects, like shoes sewn shut or brushes with thorns instead of bristles. Tomić also has a category of sculpture called “Pearls” which, as he describes, are “to be understood as things that are precious, wrongly forgotten or lost somewhere, but now found.” Over last 20 years, as an independent filmmaker he has collaborated with many other filmmakers, visual artist, musicians as well as with people from margins of society.

He has exhibited in many festivals and exhibitions. In 2013, as he said “by chance”, Milos was the Serbian representative at the Venice Biennialle.  Currently, he explores everyday experiences and small, unnoticed things in daily life through video diaries alongside the production of stop motion animations.

Milos collaborated on Safari Here for CORNERS of Europe.
