D6's open studio for the Late shows
Saturday 17 May, 2025, 18:00 - 10:30
D6: Culture in Transit, 5, Charlotte Square, NE1 4XF (map)
Free
For the Late Shows, we present a special preview of our international programme with artists who reveal untold stories of colonialism.
Part of a wider conversation exploring the problematic legacy of Europe’s colonial past found in museums and heritage sites, their work shares new perspectives and makes connections with the North of England, and will go on to be part of a group exhibition at the Great North Museum: Hancock this July.
Threads of Memory: A Cartography of Encounters
Patrick Ziza is sharing research and artworks from their recent residency at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights in Chile. The work draws from both the country’s geography and some of the research conducted within the museum’s collection, particularly the testimonies and lives shaped by the 1973 coup and its enduring aftermath.
