NATIONAL LOTTERY HERITAGE FUND AWARDS GRANT TO SUPPORT THERE IS BEAUTY IN THIS JOURNEY

We are pleased to announce that the National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded us funding to further develop There is Beauty in this Journey in the North East of England.  This enables us to build on our relationship with artist Henna Asikainen, the National Trust and with refugee and asylum seekers to deepen our shared understanding of historic and contemporary migration.

With the National Trust this new programme will encompass days out in the landscape that surrounds our city as part of a residency along Hadrian’s Wall.

We've been developing projects with Henna since 2016, addressing questions of home, migration and cultural foraging, and are delighted that we can continue working with her in 2020.
